This is the official page of UNAWATUNA DIVING CENTRE, fully authorized PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Resort, “The Original since 1999” and Sri Lanka’s premier PADI Dive Resort, S-36133, and your gateway to embark on an exciting adventure of the underwater world! We offer you a perfect holiday, both under and above water. The Diving School is located around 5 kilometers south of the City of Galle on the Matara Road (A2 from Galle to Matara), at the end of Unawatuna, directly on the beautiful Unawatuna Beach, at the Indian Ocean at the South Coast of Sri Lanka.
The Dive Centre is open every year from 15th October to 10th April from 8 am to 7 pm. Between April 10th to November 15th, we operate from our NILAVELI DIVING CENTRE, PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Resort in the North East Coast of Sri Lanka, located 12 kilometers north of Trincomalee under good diving conditions, since the South Coast is hit by monsoons during the rest of the year, with rough sea and bad visibility. During this time you can enjoy your perfect diving holidays on the east coast of Sri Lanka in our new diving resort – Divinguru Beach Resort in Nilaveli.
